The MIL-DTL-5015 Series Military standard is a 20-size, 9-pin male connector, which we call the opposing cable type. The product codes for the connectors that can be used with this product are the MS3106F 20-18S female cable connector and the MS3108F 20-18S female cable connector with a 90-degree backshell. The connector has 12-size and 16-size pins. The 12-size pin can carry a maximum current of 23 amps, and the 16-size pin can carry a maximum current of 13 amps. The products are secured by inserting the movable part, i.e., the cable connector, into its counterpart and then rotating the collar on the movable part. The opposing cable connector is intended for use in areas where a panel-type connector is not used or when a panel-type connector cannot be mounted on a device. It allows us to joint or secure two cables together in a mobile manner in mid-air. In short, opposite type connectors are preferred for safely connecting two cables in the air.
