This is a MIL-DTL-26482 I series 16-size 8-pin shell-type male connector, which we also call a portable or cable-type connector. The product codes for the connectors compatible with this product are the MS3112E 16-8S female panel-type connector and the MS3110E 16-8S female portable connector. The connector has 20-size contacts and can carry a maximum current of 7.5 amps through these contacts. For quick connector assembly, the threading system inside the nut and collar has been eliminated. Three metal tabs have been added to the design, allowing the connector to be locked by rotating it like a bayonet connector. A click is heard when the collar is turned.
